SINGAPORE
Here I am again being dragged away from skool (actually I don't go there anymore and it was the Easter break, even if I still went) stuffed in MUM's bag (again) to head off to Singapore. I was not happy as it was the rainy season and I knew it would be more humid than it is in Sydney and my fur would go all curly, like Nicole Kidman's, before she goes to the hairdressers.
I should not have had so many sleepless nights worrying 'cause it was sunny most of the time we were there and we didn't need to use our brollies. Here I am on the first day, really excited (even if I don't look it) 'cause we were heading off for a boat ride around Marina Bay to look at all the new buildings, making our way to the Gardens on the Bay.
Imagine my surprise when I saw Winnie the Pooh and Piglet sitting in one of the beautiful gardens. They looked so happy and told me that they had made heaps of friends and when the lights finally went down at night, it was party time! They both kept their fur shaved so that they didn't get too hot and I must say I was tempted to climb out of MUM's bag and join them, but she (who must be obeyed...), told me I had the biggest surprise waiting for me the next day. So, I didn't try to escape.

No, this is not a picture of MUM - although they are the same size - ouch! I just got a clip around the baldies - again! DAD booked tickets to have breakfast with orangutangs! I was just so excited as you can see my paws were shaking so I couldn't keep still and took blurry photos! The orangutangs were just smashing and the one on the left kept stroking my head and whispering, 'come join us little furry one'. Hmmmmm, I was tempted, but I kept thinking that life swinging up in the trees would be a lot more hectic than the one in the cupboard back home. So, I just said, 'thanks for the offer, but I have to finish skool first'. I did keep my paws crossed behind my back so I didn't tell a fib.
I made friends with this super bug at the zoo who offered me a ride when it saw how tired and emotional I was after my BIG breakfast. He was so shiny I kept slipping off and I got really dirty.
So much so, that when - you know who - plonked me on top of these polar bears in the gift shop, the attendant yelled at me to hop off the pile. She said I was too grubby and would spread germs. Helloo! I was so embarrassed, but I think she may have been right,as you can see. Besides, everything here in Singapore is so neat and clean, not like skankyville back home.
This was MUM's favourite eating place - I thought (quietly) that it was named after her.
I couldn't stop crying when I saw this sign in Bang Bang's restaurant in Chinatown. I made so much noise that the owner asked me to leave. Fancy stir-frying baboons (I ticked them off for their spelling mistake) and, what the Dickens is smoked pirk?
Me and DAD went for a few brewskis after that experience. We both needed to
calm our nerves as things did get a bit out of hand. I must say I enjoyed the few Tigers I guzzled and as you can see in this picture, I had a big smile on my face - just before I fell off the table and had to be rescued from the water. But that's another story...
I thoroughly enjoyed my trip and am now home safely back in the cupboard hiding from MUM who keeps trying to plonk me in the tub. The other bears said I smell like durian... so maybe I should take the plunge.
