HAWKESBURY
Last Sunday, the BIG PEOPLE woke me up early and said, "TED we have a lovely surprise for you today". The next thing I knew I was sitting on a windowsill on a train, heading off to the Hawkesbury river. I was a bit anxious as I remembered MUM once saying to me to never expect and then I won't be disappointed. Well, imagine my surprise when we arrived at the Riverboat Postman. DAD told me that this was the boat we were going to sail around in all day, but unfortunately he was only kidding.
I was happy as a bear can be on a boat, on a hot day, with no open windows and the aircon wasn't working. However, after sneaking a few sips of DAD's brewskie, I just sat back and thought about the time we were stuck on a sandbank on a boat on the Amazon. All the guys on board just pulled their pants down a little so they got lots of air on their bottoms. Needless to say, I don't wear pants, but I managed to get on to the top deck and let the wind ruffle my curlies. There was so much to see - rocks and trees and water and...
Oh happy day...
