Botanical Gardens - Sydney
Today was the most beautiful, sunny, autumn day and MUM and DAD took me for a walk in the Botanical Gardens. Well, they walked and I was carried in MUM's bag. When we got to the entrance, I saw that the information booth was empty, so I hung about waiting for some tourists to arrive so I could tell them all about the bats that hang upside down in the trees. The funny thing is that a couple of nice tourists stopped, but only to take photos of me sitting on the counter. I don't think they thought I was old enough to know about bats an' all. Oh well, if you want to know, just do as the sign says and ask me...
Not far from the tourist information booth is a lovely old drinking fountain. It was a hot day, so I sat in the fountain to try and cool off. By this stage I was pretty exhausted as I had hung upside down in the trees with the bats for a while. Then MUM lay me on a big leaf in the garden and I had a snooze. As you can see in this picture I have one of my glass eyes open - just in case there were spiders around or even those pesky sulphur crested cockatoos that come and peck you when you least expect it.
