BATHURST
Recently we drove to Bathurst and imagine my surprise when MUM dragged me off to a teddy bears' fair. There were lots of old teds just sitting about, most with one eye missing. They all looked pretty worn out, but happy, as you can see in this picture. This ted told me he was owned by a lovely old lady who baked the best scones. I begged him to trade places with me, but he wouldn't have a bar of it. I got a mighty clip around the ears from MUM when she found out.
We also visited this most amazing place called Abercrombie House, home to the Morgan family. It was full of interesting stuff and reminded me of our trip around Kent when the BIG PEOPLE dragged me and Timmie around heaps of stately homes. I never knew this one was here in Bathurst.
I especially loved the bedroom where Henry sleeps - he is the Morgan's son, by the way. I would love to spend a weekend there as his room is haunted and it would be great to see a ghost roaming around. I keep looking out for one at home, but there is no room for one in the cupboard.
