Here is a very fuzzy photo of me at the base of Franz Josef Glacier on the west coast of the south island. It is a very strange place and I liked it a lot 'cause it looks like the surface of the moon. Not that I have ever been to the moon, but I imagine it would look like this place. I was glad it was not a hot day so the ice didn't melt and I didn't get my paws wet from the floods of tears from the Avalanche Girl. That's a Maori legend. I read all about it in my Lonely Planet book.
Here's a picture of me perched on a rock alongside the turquoise waters of Lake Tekapo, which is also on the south island. It was soooooo beautiful there and I wanted to stay sitting on that rock forever.
This next picture was painted on the side of a back-packer's van in the car park by the lake. I asked the back-packer if it was a picture of his girlfriends. He told me that their names were San and Tray and that they are not real. Neither am I, but I don't look that bad, do I?
