THe FESTIVE SEASON
Yes, well, once again it rolled around and after almost three years, my cuz Timmie arrived from London. I was so happy to see him and we sat in the cupboard with the bears for a few days, catching up on all our news. Not that Timmie had any as he just sits on the windowsill at Loxley Road, but he was happy to hear about my escapades.
We had a smashing Christmas spent with Miffy. It is the Year of the Rabbit this year, so we made the most of being on our best behaviour so that Miffy would make all our wishes come true. By the end of the day we were all a bit over each other, as you can see in this next picture...
There's a saying, "old habits die hard" and me and Timmie decided to make up for lost time. We were staying at a fancy hotel in Canberra and when the BIG PEOPLE went off to visit all the galleries, we decided to raid the bar fridge in our room. Needless to say, we passed out, but fortunately the housekeeper plonked us back on the pillows and cleaned up all the brewskie spews all over the carpet. We tipped her big time and MUM didn't even notice that her purse was empty, as she was so excited when she found a copy of Prince Harry's Spare on sale at Big W.

I didn't have the heart (coz I haven't got one) to tell her that my mate Haz said he had sent me an autographed copy, it hasn't arrived yet... but that's another story.
PEARL BEACH ARBORetUM
Have you ever had Déjà vu? Well, I did on the weekend when we spent the afternoon at the arboretum in Pearl Beach. DAD plonked this cicada on my nose. Fortunately it was only the carapace, but it was exactly the same as the one in Iguazu Falls, that he plonked on my nose all those years ago. As you can see in these pictures, I was not a happy bear... |
GAY PRIDE
COCAINE BEAR
Breaking News - My pal Bur was left in the back of a cab when his DADs flew back to Sydney after attending WOMAD. Fortunately we were still in Adelaide and the cabbie dropped him off. He was really upset but we had a smashing time together. He stayed in the cupboard with the bears for a couple of days when we came home and, for a treat, MUM and DAD took us to the movies to see Cocaine Bear. Well, it was a bit crazy and I think BUR was happy to go home afterwards as his nose was starting to go red from sticking it in the bag of coke which we found in MUM's bag. It turns out that it was really full of sugar. How weird is that?
KANDLES
A month ago we lost our pal Kandles. As you can see in this picture, she was a puppy and we grew up together. She never tried to eat me and we will always remember her whimpering when she saw DAD. He used to let her sit on his lap and gave her cuddles. Kandles was the bestest doglet in the world and will be missed forever. RIP buddy...💕
BETSIE
WHEN we were at WOMAD this year we met Betsie. She now lives with her new DAD and is simply adorable. She and Kandles would have been the best of pals. The only problem is that she wanted to eat my ears which Kandles never tried to do. However, I think she will be okay when she grows up and learns how to behave - I did... Ouch...
